I ask “WHY” you build a space station
Sending probes far off into outer space regions
It all make’s me wonder
If there’s another agenda
Something we didn’t know, not on show
Been the star of a few films now
Jules Verne to Armageddon
Me seen the Sudden Impact at sea
Approaching orbit is due
“Set the destroyer”
Returning to prove
Chasing his destination of fate
What other reason could there be
For spending all the spare money
On way’s to leave
Don’t you see?
Life in space the only place left
Searching sanctuary of the few
It’s been known for a long time now
The return date out from behind the sun
This the key to why there’s no change
Not worth to re-arrange
If our futures preordained
Might as well just enjoy the time left
Numb? go get all that can be got
Sound familiar?
Ring a bell?
Watch outta space
Time will tell
